We are looking for a Kubernetes Operations SRE engineer for an international product company with our partners in the office in Serbia (Belgrade). The Kubernetes Operations team is responsible for the operational tasks of K8s clusters: updating clusters and addons, working with the OS, as well as improving the cluster control system. Stack: Kubernetes, GitOps, Ansible/AWX Responsibilities: • Update clusters and addons • Manage the OS life cycle on nodes (Ubuntu) • Automate patching and security updates • Optimize kernel parameters for K8s workloads • Manage node images and their versioning • Develop a system of health checks and compliance checks for clusters • Implement policy enforcement (Kyverno, OPA Gatekeeper) • Automate audit of cluster configurations • Build dashboards to monitor the status of clusters • Implement GitOps for configuration management (ArgoCD, Gitlab Agent) • Automate routine operations using Ansible/AWX • Write scripts and utilities in Python/Go/Bash Requirements: • Experience with Kubernetes in production from 3 years • Experience updating Kubernetes clusters in production • Deep knowledge of Linux (Ubuntu): systemd, networking, kernel tuning • Experience with Ansible/AWX for automation • Experience with GitOps (ArgoCD, Flux) • Knowledge of CI/CD (GitLab CI) • Understanding of Kubernetes architecture: kubelet, container runtime, CNI, CSI • Python or Bash programming skills • Understanding of networks: TCP/IP, iptables/nftables, DNS Would be a plus: • Experience with Cilium or Calico CNI • Knowledge of Go to write utilities • Experience with Kyverno or OPA Gatekeeper • Experience with bare metal Kubernetes (not only managed) • Experience with PXE boot and automatic node provisioning Kubernetes Certifications (CKA, CKS) Conditions: • Compensation for learning English up to 50% 4 day-offs per year at the expense of the company • The company supports the employee during important periods of life • Opportunity to develop your competencies and apply knowledge in practice • Large, highly qualified team that you can always turn to for help We are considering candidates who are already in Serbia!
